ITIL® Master Qualification Now Available

We are pleased to announce that the ITIL Master Qualification has been launched and that APMG-International will be offering this to candidates. Candidates should apply directly through APMG-International, who will process their application. Further information on the structure of the qualification and how to apply can be found on the APMG-International website.

 

The cost of the qualification is as follows:

A candidate who has taken MALC through an APMG Accredited Training Organisation: £2,500 + VAT.

A candidate who has taken MALC through a non-APMG Accredited Training Organisation: £2,750 + VAT.

The ITIL® Master Qualification is here!

1st May 2012, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK.  The Official ITIL Accreditor is pleased to announce that from today, the ITIL Master Qualification in IT Service Management is available to experienced Service Managers who have achieved ITIL Expert Level.

The ITIL Master Qualification is the highest level in the Official ITIL Qualification Scheme. The qualification differs from other core qualifications as the assessment method is through written submission and candidate interview.

The ITIL Master builds upon the knowledge gained through the core qualification scheme and validates practical application of the ITIL framework in the work place. Candidates must explain how and why they have chosen to adopt, adapt and implement core ITIL concepts within the workplace across the entire service lifecycle.

This application can be based on projects conducted in the past which involved application of earlier ITIL guidance or can be used to formulate and implement a future service improvement program to improve organizational capability.

Sharon Taylor, ITIL Chief Examiner, said: "The interest in the ITIL Master programme has been excellent and the candidate participation in two detailed pilots has resulted in a solid, well tested qualification process that truly demonstrates the pinnacle of ITIL knowledge and practical use for those candidates who have devoted their ITSM expertise to ITIL best practices. I am very excited that the ITIL Master programme is now a reality for the many ITIL Experts who have been anxiously awaiting its launch".

Richard Pharro, CEO of the APM Group, said: "The ITIL Master Qualification enables the most experienced IT service managers and practitioners in the industry to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and capability; defining how to approach real-world situations, apply appropriate ITIL concepts and create solutions which demonstrate continued effectiveness and benefits to the business. This allows service management professionals to demonstrate they have embraced the true ethos of the current ITIL Best Practice and are leaders in their field".

itSMF Philippines Chapter launched

The itSMF Philippines Chapter was officially launched.  Peter Edwards, the founding Council Member and current Advisor to the Singapore Chapter was asked to share his experience and thoughts via a video, the contents of which are appended for your information:

?Hello, my name is Peter Edwards. I was a founding Council member for the itSMF Singapore Chapter, I have served on the itSMF Singapore Council for 7 years including 3 years as President, and I am currently an advisor to the itSMF Singapore Council.

itSMF International - Whitepaper Submission of the Year (2012) Competition

This is a gentle reminder to consider participating in this competition if you are not already thinking about it.  Recap of the details follow:

itSMF Chapters are invited to submit up to 3 papers for consideration from local members for consideration for the International award.

Submissions must be from "members in good standing" from a local chapter and must be assessed by a local judging panel before being submitted for the International contest.

Papers must be submitted in Word format and should be accompanied by a brief biography of the writer.

Papers must be received by the Chief Editor (publishing@itsmfi.org) no later than August 31, 2012.  The winner will be announced on October 29, 2012.
