ITIL for the Cloud

 

Synopsis

 

This presentation will look at how Cloud services should be managed as a service using the ITIL Service Lifecycle, as well as providing an overview of some best practices for deploying Cloud services. The presentation will cover the following topics:

  • An overview of Cloud service models   
  • A demonstration of a Cloud deployment product, focusing on how Cloud  deployment tools can help to address many of the process and technology issues associated with implementing Cloud
  • The ITIL processes related to Cloud management within the context of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, and how they fit into a Cloud Reference Architecture 

Speakers' Biography

 

Lewis Troke

Lewis is a Service Management consultant with IBM Singapore, specializing in Cloud Computing Strategy and Architecture Planning.

 

Peter Edwards

Peter is also a Service Management consultant with IBM Singapore. He specializes in the design and implementation of a holistic IT Service Management and Cloud based frameworks for IBM customers, including IT strategy, assessment, process design, architecture and the development of business cases. He is certified in ITIL v3 to ITIL Expert level. Peter is also a past President of itSMF Singapore, and currently serves as an Advisor to the Council.
